It's so perfectly cold outside that each snowflake is preserved in it's original crystalline shape and glistens like polished glass as it lays on the ground. They're twinkling as they fall into the glow of the lights... It's sparkly out!
isnt it beautiful?? i sat in the park and just kinda stared for a bit...ok as i write that i relaise it sounds insane to sit in the cold for almost an hour and freeeze your ass off and risk frostbite for some sparkly but how many chances do you get in life to look at beautiful things? i might be stupid but at least its for a reason hahaha
that's not insane to me at all. I just took the dog for his walk, brought him home and wandered over to the dock to sit. There's something so perfect and comforting about sitting outside at night, while snow falls. Everything is so hushed, and snow makes everything look beautiful, especially twinkly snow. It's important for me to see that, otherwise snow tends to depress me. And you're right.. how often do you get to see beautiful things?
bundle up and don't think about it :)It's beautiful. And probably colder where I am, lol, I live on a barrier island, so we get hella cold winds here ;)
a barrier island is an island or peninsula that lies just off the main coast, creating a bay between it and the mainland, and basically catches the brunt of the bad weather as it rolls in off the ocean. is a really good example of what a barrier island looks like - that's the spit of land to the right. Except where I live is a bit wider, and is a peninsula. Same concept though, these little bits of land act like shields.
