the conservative version of a hippy? wouldn't that be an oxymoron? LOL. Seriously though, have you ever read anything by her? A lot of Treason is pointing out common-sense misconceptions that have been pushed by the media for the last 50 or 60 years. I don't fully agree with everything she says - she tends to get slightly hysterical, but she definitely says things that will leave you shaking your head going, "yeah.. I never thought of that".
1. A movie. -- "What Dreams May Come" (Robin Williams' BEST work...)2. A book. -- Any book by Stuart Woods...however...specifically "Under The Lake"(javascript:PopUp('../html/library/underlake.html','Library',475,410))3. A musical artist, song, or album. -- Brian Wilson's "Imagination" CD...4. An LJ user not on my friends list. -- jodea5. Something to do in the next two months; something daring or adventuresome. -- I suggest that you consider holding a 'LiveJournal Meet-Up' for your friends! Some where very public, of course!
the onlyl reason i know of ann coulter is b/c she used to be on Politically Incorrect almost monthly, and I watched that show a lot in HS. she just loves bashing democrats for everything and praising republicans for everything. you know how liberals does the vice versa? yea.. she's the opposite of a liberal. a conservative hippie =P
oooooh! a challenge! daaaa-buuuuu-dahhhhhh!* High Fidelity, which you've surely seen. so Y tu mamá también, instead.* seeing as i've just finished three-reading it for the nth time, william gibson's neuromancer. glen duncan's hope, though kinda annoying at times, is some good sexy reading.* the webb brothers' maroon. one of my greatest music store finds.* umm... for sheer enjoyment value, may i present sirencio.* and finally, something to do in the coming days: no more quizzes/questionaires. just get deep down funky and dirty. oh, and for the adventuresomeness of it, tell us about it, janet.
* and finally, something to do in the coming days: no more quizzes/questionaires. just get deep down funky and dirty. oh, and for the adventuresomeness of it, tell us about it, janet. Are you implying I've gotten boring? Hmmph.
Desperation.. hmm.. read that ages ago.. did you ever read the Regulators? It's sort of a parellel to Desperation. I won't give anymore away =)I used to take kickboxing aerobics classes.. does that count?Heh. I want to learn Jujitsu =)
I couldn't really get into that movie, I'm not sure why. I really enjoyed him in Patch Adams though. Have you ever seen, I forget the name, the murder/horror one he's in?(I think he's a film developer or something) I'll have to see, the DVD is downstairs and I'm FAR too lazy to go down and get it :)
ahh, ok. I never caught her on Politically Incorrect, so my only exposure to her has been through the books. Yeah, she does tend to do that, villify Democrats and put Republicans up for sainthood, but like with anything else, it's more up to you, as a reader, to find the happy medium between the two.
thanks :)They looked good, so I just ordered both of those books from amazon =)
Have indeed read it...hehehe. I like "Desperation" better, I suppose because I read it first.So....How about something TOTALLY mindless, and just fun?I'm currently re-reading ALL my Charlie Brown books, which is rather elaborate collection. Maybe something in that vein? You know what I've always wanted to do? Get my pilot's license.OF course, I'd have to get over my fear of heights...
wow. i'm really touched! :)
